Purification Presence Love
Somehow a series of events lead me to this moment of creation. A time to reflect, share and practice purification of spirit, of interactions, of walking with grace. I have been many things in this life, now I'm just allowing myself to "simply be". Connecting with my natural rhythms. The sincerity of my life, the gratitude of the lessons, the experiences, the truth, have brought me to this space of vulnerability, rawness and the deep peace that arrives from simple awareness. I walk as a gentle guide, a safe space, light with a love of darkness. Support through words, space, example, body, breath and always unconditional love. A joyful yoga instructor, massage therapist and craniosacral practitioner. I bring a holistic approach to my classes, bodywork sessions and writing. A mother of four incredible spirits that inspire and encourage. I am humble, quiet, thankful and here now to share my gifts, my experiences or just simple space.

Tara Patino is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. She is the founder of Awakening Nook and is delighted to bring her passion and experiences to you. She knew at a young age she was drawn to healing and helping others. She studied nursing for a brief time until she was introduced to acupuncture, yoga and reiki. Those powerful modalities opened up a whole new world of healing and wellness. In 1999, while living in Spain she established a regular yoga practice throughout her second pregnancy. The difference it made during her pregnancy, labor and post postpartum astounded her. In 2002, after a move to Chicago, she made the decision to teach. She graduated from The Chicago Yoga Center shortly after and was immediately invited to be part of their staff. She was honored to volunteer weekly at The Newberry Academy in Chicago, teaching yoga and meditation to the kindergarten class and bridged her experiences while living in San Diego. She founded and taught an after school yoga program for kids. She has had the privilege to study with numerous master instructors. It was through an injury that brought her to deepen her path with healing. After receiving a massage session and having her pain vanish completely, she enrolled at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts for Massage Therapy in Arizona and began to study the healing arts intensely, graduating in 2009. Tara had the pleasure of studying a Master SATTVA Yoga Teacher Training in India, with the founder, Anand Mehrotra in April 2014. It was through this path she discovered an ancient but fresh approach to her yoga and meditation practice. It brings her great joy to share this practice and explore meditation through pranayama, kriyas, mantras and stillness. She has completed the Upledger CranioSacral Program and continues her education and to develop her practice through advance studies in the craniosacral community. In 2010 , Linger Longer Yoga and Massage was born in Arizona and served the community through healing modalities, joy and love. In 2018 with a strong desire to walk and live the practice, focus on family, enjoy simple living she closed the studio and relocated to the the San Juan Islands. She continues to see clients in Arizona and Washington while enjoying the little things.
Tara enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and playing as much as possible. She has traveled throughout the world and continues to collaborate and create community. She wants everyone to find their personal freedom and joy in life.
Her sessions are an integration of therapeutic massage, breath, energy work, movement and laughter. She brings professional techniques, lightness and support into every session.
Come, lets take a walk
